Sigma Psi Zeta is...
A progressive multicultural Greek organization that provides a means of success and support for womxn, particularly womxn of color. The sorority builds on the unity of strong and independent leaders to affect change in our organization, our members, our university, and our local communities.
Our members are recognized not only as leaders but as womxn who are striving to be first. Sigmas are strong and independent womxn who are willing to be on the cutting edge of innovation and change in Greek life while growing and developing well-rounded skills and ambitions for life after college.
We are a cultural, social, educational, and community service-oriented sorority.
Sigma Psi Zeta is the first Greek-lettered sorority of its kind to be established on the East Coast. In addition, we are one of the largest historically Asian Pacific Islander Desi American (APIDA) Greek organizations and a founding member of the National APIDA Panhellenic Association (NAPA). With 43 chapters/charters (as of Fall 2021) from coast-to-coast, we are also the fastest-growing NAPA organization. We strive to create a network for strong, ambitious womxn and promote professional, educational, and individual development.
As SYZters of Sigma Psi Zeta, we represent the powerful, independent, and intelligent womxn of quality with pride and grace. We aim to foster benevolence, individuality, strength, confidence, leadership skills, social awareness, and other empowering and enriching qualities in womxn. Through a network of passionate, unique individuals, the sorority lends structure and support to members across the nation that share the same vision.
